Special Events

Dot-Art: An exhibition by Jürgen Handke

When: from Thursday, 21st June until Saturday, 22nd July 2018

Where: International English Library, Conference Room

A selection of recent pictures will be exhibited showing different styles of modern dot art. These include acrylic paintings and collage pictures.

Also on display will be handcrafted items including dotted coasters, and business card boxes with magnetized seals.

About the artist: Jürgen Handke is a biomedical engineer working in the field of radiation therapy in quality management and regulatory affairs. He began doing dot-art in 2008 after being interested in the technique for many years. He started with templates from a book of aboriginal art, and over the years has moved on to experimenting with different styles, colours and surfaces. His art can be seen on Instagram under: blue_will_dot_art

Bi-annual Book Sale

Twice a year we fill our event space with books for sale, most for just one euro each, and transform our reading room into a cafe where you can enjoy homemade cakes and savories with a cup of coffee or tea.

Join us for our next book sale sometime in Autumn 2018.
